PS launched the first LoRa IoT platform in Enschede and Twente region 
On 9 Dec 2015, PS announced the launch of the first LoRa IoT platform in Enschede and the Twente region. The platform called
IoT Platform Twente is based on the LoRa (Long Range Wide Area Network) technology and enables students, researchers, and companies to perform experiments with the IoT and LoRa technologies.

Kyle Zhang successfully defended his doctoral thesis 
On 20 November 2015, Kyle Zhang successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled "Eating of the pudding - Supporting the development life-cycle of wireless sensor networks for environmental monitoring scientists and ecologists”. The research has been performed under supervision of Prof. Paul Havinga (promotor) and Dr. Nirvana Meratnia (assistant-promotor).
