Invited talk at Internet of Things (IoT) Tech Day 2016 
On 14 April 2016, the IoT Tech Day took place in Utrecht in the Netherlands. The Internet of Things (IoT) Tech Day brought together industries, developers and interested people working on IoT aspects from all around the world. Around 1000 people were visited the event.

During this event, Paul Havinga and Nirvana Meratnia gave a presentation entitled: "Moving hype: Smart Dust, Wireless Sensor Networks, Big data, Internet of Things".

Smart Sensing Systems workshop at University of Science and Technology in Wuhan and University of Nanchang in China  
On 8-11 March 2016, PS delegate was invited for the "Smart Sensing Systems" workshop organized jointly by University of Wuhan and University of Nanchang in China on Internet of Things (IoT), its challenges, and opportunities. During this workshop, which took place in two different cities, existing collaboration between PS and University of Science and Technology in Wuhan on Internet of Things (IoT) was further strengthened and new collaborations and contacts were established with the University of Nanchang. Also, "Smart Sensing and Computing" lab of the University of Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan was visited.

Department of Computer Science of University of Twente ranks first in the Netherlands 
The final report of the recent international research evaluation shows that the department of Computer Science of University of Twente (UT) ranks first in the Netherlands. The Computer Science department of UT scores highest on quality and impact.
